Drivers Jonas was appointed to review the accommodation strategy of the University.
Arising out of this work, a decision was made to rationalise the University’s accommodation and relocate its existing facilities to a new campus on the outskirts of Chelmsford.
In order to facilitate this relocation Drivers Jonas was instructed to select a partner for the redevelopment of Central Campus.

Our Role
We worked with the client to:
- Identify and advise on disposal options for the site.
- Negotiate a beneficial Planning Brief with the local planning authority.
- Negotiate a land swap agreement with the Local Authority.
- Carry out a national marketing campaign for the selection of a development partner.
- Negotiate the Development Agreement with the selected developer.
