Calyon (formed by the recent amalgamation of Credit Lyonnais and Credit Agricole)has renewed its contract with the DJ Corporate Real Estate team, to advise on its surplus properties across the UK.

Our Role

DJ has advised Credit Lyonnais on its occupational and surplus properties for a number of years, and has been responsible for reducing the number of property liabilities by three quarters over that time. There are Calyon instructions currently with the DJ Birmingham, Manchester, Edinburgh, City and Grosvenor Street offices, and the Slough Accounts team provides all Calyon's property accounts and financial administration.

DJ is currently acting for Calyon on rent reviews in Newcastle, Birmingham and the City of London; dilapidations in Edinburgh; agency in Manchester, Birmingham and most recently in the City; and building surveying across the country.

Achievements

  • Reduced surplus property liability by three quarters.
  • Agreed a dilapidations settlement at £0 after the landlord initially claimed £370,000.
